Oil paint and resin on paper

This screaming girl on paper confronts the viewer with an intimidating and vexed visual imagery and is left to imagine the auditory aspect of the painting. Resin is coated on the tears and creates an illusion of naturalistic tears which emphasises the child’s emotional perplexity alongside the life-size scale. The viewer involuntarily comprehends the unpleasant behaviour of a screaming child, fundamentally feeling helpless.
