This series is arranged starting from the top as the tears in the first piece build up as you go down. The children in each piece are ultimately submerged in either water or tears depending on the interpretation. The feeling of overwhelming emotion or liberation from finally experiencing the emotion bottled up overtime. The distortion contributes to the feelings of suffocation or freedom as the portraits reflect how emotions can either be freeing or constricting.
